Clallam County commissioners will discuss the COVID-19 homeless center at 7:30 a.m. Monday.

Other agenda items include:
• Proposed agreements with 10 tourism-based nonprofits for a second round of “Keeping the Lights On” grants for COVID-19.
• A resolution authorizing action on current use assessment applications pursuant to the county’s open space code.
• A briefing on a current hiring freeze due to COVID-19.
• A letter to the state Recreation and Conservation Office regarding grant funding for a Hoko River watershed project.
• A letter to the North Olympic Healthcare Network for support on a loan application.
• An amended agreement with Laurel Black Design for public outreach and support for Clallam County Phase 2 business re-openings during COVID-19.
• A resolution reappointing Carol Johnson to the Fair Advisory Board.
• An 11 a.m. discussion on CARES Act funding for COVID-19.
Commissioners will conduct their weekly work session at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Action items include:
• A bid award to Interwest Construction, Inc. for the Dry Creek utility replacement project.
• A resolution authorizing expenditures from the Hotel/Motel Tax Fund for “Keeping the Lights On” grants.
• A call for a July 12 public hearing on a proposal to amend code for the Opportunity Fund program.
Port Angeles city
The Port Angeles City Council will conduct a public hearing on a six-year capital facilities and transportation plan during its regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
An executive session is set for 5 p.m.

The council also will hear reports on 2019 crime, code enforcement and public works and utilities construction.
Other agenda items include a first reading on proposed code changes recognizing Indigenous People’s Day and Juneteenth.

Charter Review Commission
The Clallam County Charter Review Commission will consider putting two amendments on the November ballot when they meet at 6 p.m. Thursday.

One proposed amendment would require the county to ensure that any franchise associated with new radio frequency devices or systems operating in the micro or millimeter wave frequency range be accompanied by environmental assessments and environmental impact statements.
The other would specify that the county administrator can’t hold any other position within county government during employment.

Clallam County Fire District 3 commissioners will consider standard operating procedure for the code of conduct when they meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
