Clallam County commissioners will continue reviewing the draft Shoreline Master Program Update at the Monday workshop session.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in the commissioners’ boardroom (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
The focus will be on the remaining public comments about the program that have been received by the county. The meeting materials can be viewed at www.clallam.net/LandUse/smp.html.
Commissioners will discuss items at their Monday workshop and possibly take action on the items at their business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Monday’s work session agenda items are:
• An agreement with The Answer For Youth to move $1,606.38 from the rent category to the utilities category from Aug. 1 to Dec. 31.
• A resolution reestablishing and modifying revolving, petty cash and change funds for the county Health & Human Services Department.
• A launch of the Blue Jeans video conferencing system and discussion on next steps.
• A discussion of animal control in the west end of the county.
• Review of a resolution calling for a hearing from a Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe petition requesting the county to vacate a 980-foot portion of Corriea Road.
• Discuss a letter of support for the Coastal Business Resources/Microenterprise Assistance Program.
• Discussion and call for hearing on an ordinance repealing ordnance 951 — amendments to the county Home Rule Charter.
On Tuesday, commissioners will consider approving an agreement with Joseph Wolfley for child-support contempt and truancy contempt proceedings. Superior Court has requested combining the previous child-support representation contract and the previous truancy representation contract into one new contract. The contracts provide representation to both indigent parents in child-support contempt proceedings, as well as parents and children in truancy proceedings for each school year from Sept. 15 to June 15.
They also will consider a bid opening for carpet replacement in Superior Court courtroom and administration as well as items from Monday’s workshop.
Port Angeles Council
Port Angeles City Council members will conduct a public hearing to receive input on the proposed Electric Utility 2018 Resource Plan when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The open meeting at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St., will be preceded by a closed, executive session to discuss potential litigation and to consider the minimum price at which real estate will be offered.
The council also will consider a budget amendment and an ordinance concerning the code compliance enforcement fund.
They also will consider changes in contracts for Marine Drive bridge inspection and for harbor cleanup.
The council will hear a Port Angeles Police Department mid-year report.
Clallam PUD
Clallam County Public Utilities District commissioners will conduct a special meeting to interview candidates for commissioner district No. 2 vacancy at 10 a.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in the Lake Crescent boardroom at 104 Hooker Road, Carlsborg.
Commissioners will then convene in executive session to evaluate the qualifications of candidates for appointment to public office.
Action may or may not be taken in open session.
Clallam MRC
Clallam County Marine Resources Committee members will hear a brief presentation by Jeff Ward about the statewide launch of the My Coast app when they meet at 5 p.m. Monday.
The meeting will be at Feiro Marine Life Center, 315 N. Lincoln Ave.
Also on the agenda is updates from project leads and a discussion led by Lyn Muench about the 2018 Dungeness River Festival booth display.
Library system
The North Olympic Library System board will hear a report on monthly activity when it meets at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
The board will meet at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.
Port Angeles schools
The Port Angeles School Board will consider adopting the operating budget when it meets at 7 p.m. Thursday.
The board will meet at the Central Services Building 216 E. Fourth St.

Sequim schools
The Sequim School Board will hear a legislative report when it meets in regular session at 6 p.m. Monday.
The board will meet in the district office at 503 N. Sequim Ave.
Prior to the regular session the board will participate in cultural sensitivity training by Loni Greninger of the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe. The workshop, set from 4:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., is open to the public.
The board also will consider final approval of a policy on required observances and a first reading of a policy on freedom of expression.
Fire District 3
Clallam County Fire District 3 commissioners will hear reports on logistics and risk reduction when they meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Commissioners meet at 323 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim.
They also will receive a 2018 wildland billing update.
The district covers the east side of Clallam County with a small portion in Jefferson County.
Fire District 2
Clallam County Fire District No. 2 commissioners are scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Meetings are at the district’s administrative offices, 1212 E. First St., Port Angeles.
