The three Clallam County commissioners will review the county administrator’s performance, job description and contract near the end of their work session Monday.
The work session will begin at 9 a.m. in the commissioners’ boardroom (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
Jim Jones, the current administrator, was hired in 2006.
He prepares an annual county budget, oversees county departments and advises the commissioners on administrative policy and public policy issues, among other duties.
Other items scheduled for the work session include:
■ A review of 2015 budget vs. actual performance.
■ Video recording of public meetings.
■ A Lodging Tax Advisory Committee recommendation for a reserve fund balance.
■ An emergency management report on an earthquake preparedness program and integration with the state National Guard.
■ A contract extension with William Payne for hearing examiner services through May 31.
■ An agreement to purchase land for the reconstruction of Lower Elwha Road between Edgewood Drive and Kacee Way.
■ An agreement with Michael Olson and Peter Saari to purchase an easement for the Carlsborg sewer project.
The work session also will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which starts at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
The formal meeting will begin with the county treasurer’s 2016 tax and timber report.
Other agenda items include:
■ An agreement with Washington Teamsters Welfare Trust for medical, dental and vision benefits to non-bargaining unit employees.
■ A past costs consent decree regarding the Salt Creek Recreation Area.
■ An agreement with the Lower Elwha Klallam tribe to provide co-occurring disorders treatment services to adults at Klallam Counseling Services.
Port of Port Angeles
Port of Port Angeles commissioners plan to change their meeting date to Monday when they meet Tuesday.
Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. at port headquarters, 338 W. First St., Port Angeles.
Preceding the meeting will be a light breakfast reception at 8:30 a.m. for Jim Hallett, who resigned as commissioner.
At 9:15 a.m., commissioners will hear about executive director recruitment.
Commissioners also expect to amend by-laws, consider a new facility use agreement with Platypus Marine, issue a notice of a boat sale at 10:30 a.m. March 3 at the Boat Haven and authorize the interim port director to sell surplus equipment.
Sequim City Council
The Sequim City Council will consider amending an ordinance relating to fences when it meets Monday.
The council will meet at 6 p.m. at the Sequim Civic Center, 152 W. Cedar St.
It also will consider an emergency management update, a Little League contract extension and adoption of a community signage program.
Forks City Council
The Forks City Council will consider the appointment of a new council member when it meets Monday.
The council will meet at 7:30 p.m. at 500 E. Division St.
It will consider appointing a member to fill the seat vacated by Kevin Hinchen, who resigned after he moved out of the city limits.
The appointee would serve until Dec. 31, 2017.
Clallam PUD
Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners will hear a proposal for the development of a community solar project Monday.
The work session will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Lake Crescent boardroom at the Carlsborg main office, located at 104 Hooker Road.
The proposed solar project would be constructed on PUD property and paid for by participating customers.
Conservation district
Clallam Conservation District commissioners will consider an interlocal agreement with the Sequim Prairie Tri-Irrigation Association for ditch piping when they meet Tuesday.
The meeting will begin at 3 p.m. in Suite H at Armory Square, 228 W. First St., Port Angeles.
Other agenda items include approval of a cultural resources unanticipated discovery plan, an annual meeting report, consultants for cultural resources survey services, an annual interlocal agreement with Clallam County and cooperator and cost-share agreements.
