Clallam County commissioners will discuss staffing needs for COVID-19 at 9 a.m. Monday.

Other agenda items for the work session include:
• A land purchase agreement for the Towne Road dike relocation project.
• A letter of support to Clallam County Public Utility District regarding a broadband infrastructure grant.
• A call for bids for a shower/restroom combination trailer.

• An agreement with the state Department of Transportation for funding for the Clallam Slough bridge replacement project.
• A discussion about state Department of Natural Resources (DNR) priorities.

Commissioners will hear an update on mineral lands in a continued work session at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
The board will conduct its regular business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Action items include:
• An agreement with Olympic Community Action Programs (OlyCAP) for the operation of the COVID-19 Social Distancing Center.
• A letter of support of a U.S. Forest Service land acquisition along the upper Sol Duc River.
• An agreement with Olympic Peninsula Community Clinic to provide medical services and case management.
• An amended agreement with the state Military Department for transfer of funds for the Emergency Operations Center.
• An amended agreement with the state Military Department for an Operation Stonegarden grant.
• A land donation agreement with Green Crow Timber, LLC to acquire right-of-way for the Olympic Discovery Trail west of the Elwha River.
• An agreement with the U.S. Department of Transportation for the final phase of construction of the Olympic Discovery Trail’s Spruce Railroad Trail section at Lake Crescent.
• An agreement with the city of Port Angeles for residential rent, mortgage and utilities assistance during COVID-19.
• An agreement with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula for provision of child care assistance during COVID-19.
• A bid award to Lakeside Industries for the Laird Road repaving project.
• A call for bids for the repair and replacement of a sewer main and associated work on Sekiu Airport Road.
• A resolution appointing members to the Solid Waste Advisory Committee.
• A resolution declaring the temporary closure of East Beach Road.
• Resolutions adopting a budget reduction, budget revisions and supplemental appropriations.
• A public hearing for consideration of debatable budget emergencies.
• A public hearing on the proposed sale of county tax title property and setting terms of sale.
Port of Port Angeles
Port of Port Angeles commissioners will consider a letter of support for a broadband infrastructure grant application when they when they meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

The letter of support would be for the Clallam County Public Utility District’s application for broadband infrastructure funds from the Washington State Public Works Board. The grant application is due Sept. 9.
Commissioners also will discuss a COVID-19 update, logo branding, community partner program and investments.
Clallam Transit
The Clallam Transit board will conduct a public hearing on a proposed six-year Transit Development Plan at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
The draft plan is available on the Clallam Transit website, www.clallam transit.com.
The plan details Clallam Transit’s current service, infrastructure, equipment and financial outlook and provides a five-year forecast of the planned service development, capital investments and budget assumptions, according to the notice of public hearing.
Public Utility District
Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners will consider accepting the completion of a $1.6 million contract for the Deer Park Road pumping project at 1:30 p.m. Monday.

District commissioners also will hold an executive session to discuss potential litigation with legal counsel.
Forks city
The Forks City Council will consider a letter of support for a broadband infrastructure grant application when it meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
