Clallam County commissioners will discuss an annual agreement with the Olympic Peninsula Visitor Bureau to promote year-round tourism when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.
The work session will be in the commissioners’ board room (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
Funding for the $500,000 agreement with the Visitor Bureau was allocated in the county’s 2019 hotel/motel tax fund budget, according to an executive summary.
Other agenda items for the work session include:
• A presentation from North Olympic Healthcare Network.
• A request for part-time natural resources project coordinator.
• A discussion on the Center for Inclusive Entrepreneurship Support program.
• A request for additional staff for the Environmental Health onsite septic program.
• A discussion on 2018 property tax refunds and 2019 refund levy.
• An amended agreement with Anchor QEA, LLC, for engineering and design to improve fish passage at the McDonald Creek outtake of the Agnew Irrigation District.
• A resolution reopening the Community Network fund.
• A request to the Port Angeles School District for use of the skills center.
The board will hold a continued work session at 1 p.m. Monday to discuss fish passage barriers.
Commissioners will conduct their regular business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Action items include:
• A letter of support for Dungeness River Floodplain Restoration project and other salmon-related projects in 2019.
• Contract amendments with the state departments of Ecology and Health.
• A resolution re-establishing and modifying revolving, petty cash and change funds for the Health and Human Services Department.
• Notice that budget reductions and supplemental appropriations will be adopted Feb. 26.
• A call for Feb. 26 public hearing for consideration of debatable budget emergencies.
• A quit claim deed for the sale of Deer Park underpass surplus property to Port Angeles Self Storage, LLC.
Public Utility District
Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners will conduct a public workshop to give a presentation on the district’s advanced meter strategy and to answer questions at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
The special meeting will be in the Lake Crescent Boardroom at the Carlsborg main office at 104 Hooker Road.
District commissioners will conduct their regular business meeting at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the same room.
Action items include:
• A $1.4 million bid award to Harbor Pacific Contractors, Inc., for the Deer Park pumping station.
• The pre-qualification of Mi-Tech Services, Inc., to perform work for the district.
• The removal of delinquent accounts from the active accounts receivable.
Forks city
The Forks City Council will hear a summary of a special permit elk hunt from the state Department of Fish and Wildlife on Monday.
The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Forks City Hall, 500 E. Division St.
Port of Port Angeles
Port of Port Angeles commissioners will hear community partner presentations Tuesday.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. at the port administrative building 338 W. Front St., Port Angeles.
Action items include funding for coffer dam barge facility improvements.
Peninsula College
Peninsula College trustees will meet at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be in the Cornaby Center on the Peninsula College campus at 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.

Port Angeles schools
The Port Angeles School Board is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Thursday.
The board generally meets at the Central Services Building, 216 E. Fourth St.

Quillayute Valley
The Quillayute Valley School District will consider revising the policy concerning bid requirements when it meets at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
It will meet at the library at Forks High School, 261 Spartan Ave., Forks.
The board also will discuss a community roundtable.
Conservation District
The Clallam Conservation District board will consider awarding a contract for the Dungeness well metering system when they meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be in Suite H at Armory Square, 228 W. First St., Port Angeles.
Other agenda items include a decision on pursuing rates and charges, an update on Golden Sands and Dungeness onsite septic system repairs and cooperator and cost-share agreements.
Port Angeles parks
The Port Angeles Parks, Recreation and Beautification Commission will interview potential candidates for the commission at 5 p.m. Monday.
The special meeting is scheduled to be in a Vern Burton Community Center meeting room near City Hall.
