Clallam County and Port of Port Angeles commissioners will hold a joint meeting to discuss economic development efforts Monday.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in the port commissioners’ meeting room at the port’s main office, 338 W. First St., Port Angeles.
The meeting is being convened to discuss quarterly reports from the Composite Recycling Technology Center, Small Business Development Center and Economic Development Corp.
County and port commissioners will also discuss proposed contracts with the Small Business Development Center and the Economic Development Corp.
Clallam County
Clallam County commissioners will consider an agreement with the state Department of Transportation for safety improvements to Black Diamond Road on Tuesday.
The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. in Room 160 at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
Other agenda items include:
• A proclamation recognizing October as Disability Employment Awareness Month.
• A proclamation recognizing employers of individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Notice of an Oct. 18 hearing to consider amendments to Clallam County policy for road speed limits.
Port Angeles city
The Port Angeles City Council will consider action against Deputy Mayor Cherie Kidd as recommended by a board of ethics when it meets Tuesday.
The council will meet at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St. A special meeting is planned at 5:45 p.m. for a presentation on investments policy.
The ethics board recommended that Kidd be orally admonished. The council could not make a decision Sept. 20 and tabled the matter until this upcoming meeting.
The council will consider allowing council members to serve as volunteer firefighters, ambulance personnel or law enforcement reserve officers. The resolution will require a two-thirds majority of the council.
The issue was brought up because Councilman Dan Gase wants to serve as a volunteer with the Port Angeles Police Department.
The council also will consider adoption of the 015 International Code Council Development codes and an investments policy.
Olympic Medical ÂCenter
Olympic Medical Center commissioners will hear public input on the hospital’s 2016-18 strategic plan when they meet Wednesday.
The community forum tops the agenda for the meeting, which will begin at 12:30 p.m. in Linkletter Hall at the hospital at 939 Caroline St., Port Angeles.
Eric Lewis, chief executive officer, will present the plan before commissioners take public input on it.
Commissioners also will hear updates on the Olympic Peninsula Healthy Community Coalition’s Ready, Set, Go 5210 Initiative, on agreements for physicians and MRI maintenance, the family practice rural residency track program, medical office building interior signage, staff competency and an emergency repair of nuclear medicine camera.
Clallam PUD
Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners will consider establishing a data privacy policy Monday.
The meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Lake Crescent boardroom at the PUD main office, 104 Hooker Road.
Other agenda items include a change order for work on central warehouse facilities.
Sequim schools
The Sequim School Board will discuss an educational program and operations levy and capital projects proposals when it meets Monday.
The board will meet at 6:30 p.m. at 503 N. Sequim Ave.
It also will discuss the superintendent evaluation, goals and timelines.
