Clallam County commissioners will hold a public hearing on a $550,000 debatable budget emergency to settle Public Records Act litigation Tuesday.
The hearing will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the commissioners’ boardroom (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
Commissioners will hold their regular business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Action items include:
â– An interagency agreement with the state Administrative Office of the Courts for support of a family and juvenile court improvement plan.
â– A modified agreement with the U.S. Forest Service to increase funding and extend a performance period to Oct. 31, 2017.
â– An easement purchase for the Olympic Discovery Trail.
â– A contract amendment with the state Department of Ecology to reallocate existing grant funds.
â– A call for bids for a boiler replacement project at the Clallam County Courthouse.
â– A bid opening for mental health and substance abuse intervention in public schools.
Commissioners will hold their weekly work session at 9 a.m. Tuesday to preview items set for action at future meetings.
The discussion will include a proposal to submit a proposition to county voters for a special property tax for veterans’ relief funding.
City Council
Port Angeles City Council members will consider approving a facility use agreement with MACK Athletics Inc. of Lacey for use of Civic Field by a West Coast League wood baseball team when they meet Tuesday in regular session.
The meeting is at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.
It will be preceded by an executive session beginning at 5 p.m. to discuss potential litigation.
The meeting at 6 p.m. will include final acceptance of contracts for emergency bluff repair and Marine Drive and Cedar Street restoration.
Planning commission
The Clallam County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on a proposal to add a new chapter in county code for vacation rentals and bed-and-breakfasts Wednesday.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Room 160 of the Clallam County Courthouse.
The proposed ordinance would amend the definition of bed-and-breakfast inns and add definitions for transient and vacation rental to Clallam County Code, Chapter 33.
Trust lands committee
The Clallam County Trust Lands Advisory Committee will discuss alternatives to the reconveyance of state-managed forest trust lands in a special meeting Friday.
The meeting will begin at noon in Room 160 of the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
Other agenda items include a review the Olympic Experimental Forest and plans for a committee field trip.
Clallam PUD
The Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners’ meeting for Monday has been canceled for Independence Day.
The next meeting will be July 11.
Olympic Medical ÂCenter
Olympic Medical Center commissioners will consider hospital roof replacements when they meet Wednesday.
The meeting will begin at 12:30 p.m. in Linkletter Hall in the basement of the hospital at 939 E. Caroline St., Port Angeles.
They also will consider capital purchases for the medical office building phone system, a maintenance agreement for nuclear camera equipment for the heart center, physician and advance practice clinician compensation policies and contracts, auxiliary bylaws and Georgiana playground equipment.
An executive session is set to discuss current or potential litigation.
Port of Port Angeles
Port of Port Angeles commissioners will attend a Board of Natural Resources meeting in Olympia at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be at 1111 Washington St. S.E., Room 172, Olympia.
Attendance constitutes a special meeting of the commission.
