Clallam County commissioners will discuss stormwater permitting in an early work session Monday.
The “commissioner conversation” meeting will begin at 7:30 a.m. in Room 160 at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles. Use on the side entrance off Fourth Street because the courthouse opens at 8 a.m.
The regular work session will begin at 9 a.m. Monday.
Discussion items include:
• Next steps to comment on proposed changes by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services that would have major impacts on Olympic Medical Center reimbursement.
• An update on prepaid ballot return postage.
• A resolution adopting a county-wide planning policy in coordination with the cities of Sequim, Port Angeles and Forks.
• The status of the Sekiu boat launch.
• The status of a criminal justice services agreement with the cities of Port Angeles and Sequim.
The board will hear a quarterly income report from the state Department of Natural Resources at 1 p.m. Monday.
Commissioners will conduct their regular business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Agenda items include a presentation of the preliminary 2019 Clallam County budget.
The board will discuss the preliminary 2019 county budget and proposed six-year Transportation Improvement Plan at the Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce luncheon Wednesday.
The chamber meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Red Lion Hotel, 221 N. Lincoln St.
Port Angeles city
The Port Angeles City Council and the city Planning Commission will conduct a joint meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The meeting will be in the City Council chambers at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.
Agenda items may include the Growth Management Act and an amendment to the 2018 Comprehensive Plan, according to the Sept. 4 City Council packet.
No agenda was available as of Saturday.
Sequim city
The Sequim City Council will discuss the 2019 budget and proposed rates and fees for 2019 when they meet in a work session at 4:30 p.m. Monday.
The work session will precede the regular meeting which will begin at 5 p.m. Both are at the Sequim Civic Center, 152 W. Cedar St.
At the regular session, the council will hear an update on the criminal justice contract.
On the consent agenda: construction easements for the West Fir Street Rehabilitation Project and appointments to the Sequim Arts Advisory Commission.
Port of Port Angeles
The Port of Port Angeles will discuss capital projects for 2019 when they meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
The special meeting will be at the port administration building, 338 W. First St.
Budget discussions will be in a work session at the beginning of the meeting.
Commissioners also will consider membership standards for the marina advisory committee, an amendment to its contract with Masco Maritime PA LLC for operation of the Port Angeles Boat Haven and timber advisory committee standards and update.
Forks city
The Forks City Council will consider a request from Bicycle Rides Northwest for the use of Tillicum Park when it meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
The council will meet at City Hall, 500 E. Division St.
The council also will hear reports from the council, staff and mayor. It may recess into an executive session.
Quillayute Valley schools
The Quillayute Valley School Board will consider approval of the State Board of Education minimum basic education requirements.
The board will meet in the library of the Forks High School, 261 Spartan Ave.
It also will consider a revision of the policy concerning Title I parent involvement.
It will hear reports on timber revenue, sexual harassment policy and a board policy on isolation and restraint of students.
Crescent Valley schools
The Crescent Valley School Board will consider ratifying a memorandum of understanding between the Crescent Education Association and the district at 5:15 p.m. Thursday.
The special meeting will be in the library of the school at 50350 state Highway 112 in Joyce.
The board will hold a second meeting that day at 5:30 p.m. to discuss strategic planning.
Public Utility District
Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners will interview candidates for the vacant District 2 commissioners’ seat Tuesday.
The special meetings will begin at 8:30 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. in the Lake Crescent Boardroom at the Carlsborg main office, located at 104 Hooker Road.
The commission may enter into an executive session to evaluate the qualifications of the candidates. If an executive session is held, action may or may not be taken in open session.
The regular business meeting for Monday has been canceled.
Conservation District
The Clallam Conservation District board will consider an agreement with the state Department of Ecology for a Dungeness Water Rule metering pilot project Tuesday.
The meeting will begin at 3 p.m. in Suite H at Armory Square, 228 W. First St., Port Angeles.
Other agenda items include a Golden Sands and Dungeness on-site septic repair update and cooperator and cost-share agreements.
