Clallam County commissioners will conduct a public hearing on a fireworks ordinance at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The proposal, several years in development, would regulate consumer fireworks in unincorporated areas based on fire danger. It would take effect one year after adoption.
The cities of Port Angeles and Sequim have already banned consumer fireworks.
Other agenda items for the business meeting include:
• A joint letter to Gov. Jay Inslee requesting an extension for spending Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act dollars.
• A letter to Angela Kreutzer regarding a COVID-19 restrictions petition.
• A proclamation recognizing Wednesday as First Responders Day.
• An amended agreement with the state Department of Ecology for a contamination reduction and outreach plan.
• An amended agreement with Laurel Black Design for public outreach and support for Clallam County Phase 2 business openings for COVID-19.
• A contract amendment with Port Angeles School District to provide mental health support services.
• An agreement with Forks Community Food Bank for COVID-19 financial assistance.
• A memorandum of intent with Olympic National Park for the Spruce Railroad section of the Olympic Discovery Trail.
• A call for bids for the Sekiu-Airport Road sewer main replacement project.
• A resolution appointing Nikki Booth to the Planning Commission.
• A discussion on a Bullman Beach Water Association action plan.
• Resolutions adopting a budget reduction, a budget revision and supplemental appropriations.
• A resolution establishing a government equipment rental schedule for 2021.
• A public hearing on proposed debatable budget emergencies.
• An ordinance amending code for an additional special excise tax on lodging.
• An ordinance amending code for the Opportunity Fund program.
Commissioners will hold their weekly work session at 9 a.m. Monday.
Agenda items include:
• A discussion on Charter Review Commission recommendations and next steps.
• A land purchase agreement for the Towne Road dike relocation project.
• A resolution adding Olympic Peninsula Bicycle Alliance representation to the Trails Advisory Committee.
• A 10 a.m. discussion on CARES Act funding.
• Agreements with Feiro Marine Life Center, Port Angeles Fine Arts Center and Sequim City Band for hotel/motel tax funds for COVID-19 assistance.
• A discussion and notice of Nov. 24 hearing on proposed levies for general purpose property tax, road fund property tax and conservation futures.
Port of Port Angeles
Port of Port Angeles commissioners will review a draft budget when they meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Commissioners will consider accepting the Fairchild International Airport sewer extension contract as completed along with a change order of $56,289. They also will consider consider a bid award for an 18th Street security fence.
Public Utility District
Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners will consider an emergency declaration for excavation and asphalt repair at the corner of Carlsborg Road and Business Park Loop at 1:30 p.m. Monday.

Other agenda items include an update on Clallam County Economic Development Council activities and plans for 2021 and a memo of contract completion for the replacement of a floating cover and liner for the Gales Addition Reservoir.
Sequim city
The Sequim City Council will consider appointing a new member to the council to fill the unexpired term of Troy Tenneson when it meets at 6 p.m. Monday.

Six applicants for the seat were interviewed Oct. 12. Tenneson resigned in August. The person who fills his seat will serve until the next election for the seat, which will be in November 2021.
At a workshop at 5 p.m., the council will hear updates on Sequim economic development partners.
Forks city
The Forks City Council will discuss water system fluoridation when it meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday.

The council also will set budget hearing dates.
Fire District 3
Clallam County Fire District No. 3 commissioners will hold a special meeting at 1 p.m. Tuesday to conduct a budget workshop.
