Clallam County commissioners will discuss the 2019 county budget in their work session Monday.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in the commissioners’ board room (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
The purpose of the discussion is to “develop some initial and general guidance around our 2019 budget to assist elected officials and department heads in their planning,” according to an executive summary.
Other discussion items for the work session include:
• An agreement with Washington State Administrative Office of the Courts for support of a family and juvenile court improvement plan.
• A notice of a call for bids for an HVAC replacement and jail kitchen exhaust improvement project.
• An agreement with the state Recreation and Conservation Office for Salmon Recovery Funding Board money to support the ongoing efforts of the North Olympic Lead Entity for Salmon.
Commissioners will conduct their weekly business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Action items include:
• A joint letter with the Makah Tribal Council regarding dangerous road conditions on state Highway 112.
• A letter to the cities of Port Angeles and Sequim regarding an interlocal agreement for criminal justice services.
• A contract with Peninsula Community Health Services for the “Hub and Spoke” program that coordinates referrals for clients into medication-assisted treatment.
• A modified agreement and new agreement with the U.S. Forest Service for noxious weed control.
• An agreement with Public Procurement Authority to allow Clallam County to piggyback off its publicly-solicited master price agreement with vendor ProForce to trade and purchase pistols.
• An agreement with Washington Military Department and the Federal Emergency Management Agency for a grant to update the county’s Hazard Mitigation Plan.
• A communication site facility lease renewal with the state Department of Natural Resources.
• An agreement for the use of hanger space for boat, trailer, supplies and equipment storage.
• An agreement with the state Department of Fish and Wildlife to sublet a portion of leased hanger space for boat, trailer, supplies and equipment storage.
• A bid opening for a culvert replacement project on Bluff Drive.
• A resolution applying for a state Recreation and Conservation Office grant for improvements to the Dungeness Recreation Area.
• A public hearing on proposed amendments to Title 20, code compliance, and Title 41, Board of Health regulations.
Port of Port Angeles
Port of Port Angeles commissioners will consider authorizing the auction of a boat when it meets at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be in the port administration building, 338 W. First St.
The Hang Loose has been seized for non-payment of port charges, the port said, and will be auctioned as an abandoned vessel.
Lodging Tax Advisory Committee
The Port Angeles Lodging Tax Advisory Committee will review and consider a funding application for a seasonal skating rink in a downtown public parking area Monday.
The meeting will begin at 11 a.m. in the City Council chambers at City Hall.
The lodging tax committee makes lodging tax funding recommendations to the Port Angeles City Council.
Port Angeles City Council
The Port Angeles City Council will conduct a priority-setting work session Tuesday.
The special meeting will begin at 5 p.m. in the City Council chambers at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.
An executive session is planned for 7 p.m. Tuesday for the council to evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment.
Clallam Conservation District
Clallam Conservation District commissioners will review cooperator and cost-share agreements when they meet Tuesday.
The meeting will begin at 3 p.m. in Suite H at Armory Square, 228 W. First St., Port Angeles.
Also on the agenda are an update about the Golden Sands and Dungeness OSS Repair, as well as an executive session for an employee’s six-month review.
Sequim City Council
The Sequim City Council will consider awarding a $275,420 contract to Lakeside Industries of Port Angeles for the 2018 citywide pavement preservation project when it meets Monday.
The council will meet in a work session at 5 p.m. and in regular session at 6 p.m. at the Sequim Civic Center, 152 W. Cedar St.
Lakeside Industries was the apparent low bidder for the pavement project.
Streets slated for pavement preservation work include Washington Harbor Loop, South Third Avenue, Reservoir Road, South Seventh Avenue, West Brackett Road, West Deseret Avenue, West Spruce Street, North Ninth Avenue and West Silberhorn Road at the South River Road intersection.
At the work session, the council will hear an overview of the 2019-24 capital improvement program and is expected to adopt the 2019-24 six-year transportation improvement program.
At the regular session, the council is expected to set the 2018 comprehensive plan docket
Forks City Council
Forks City Council will conduct a public hearing for the 2019-24 six-year plan and review resolution No. 466 when it meets Monday.
The council meeting will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall 500 E. Division St.
Also on the agenda is a reservoir recoating project bid award and a possible recess for an executive session.
Port Angeles schools
The Port Angeles School Board will discuss fiances and technology when it meets Thursday.
The board will meet in a work session at 5:30 p.m. and in a regular meeting at 7 p.m. at the Central Services Building, 216 E. Fourth St.

Quillayute Valley schools
The Quillayute Valley School Board will conduct a budget work session at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be in the media center at Forks High School, 261 Spartan Ave.

Port Angeles Utility Advisory Committee
Due to a lack of agenda items, the Port Angeles Utility Advisory Committee meeting for Tuesday is canceled.
The next scheduled meeting is Aug. 14.
