The three Clallam County commissioners will conduct a public hearing on the midyear budget Tuesday.
The hearing will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the commissioners’ boardroom (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
The business meeting will begin at 10 a.m.
Agenda items include:
■ An amended agreement with the state Department of Ecology adding tasks and funding.
■ An agreement with Ecology to assist the Washington Conservation Corps with environmental restoration projects.
■ A contract renewal with San Juan County for detention bed days and services.
Commissioners will hold their weekly work session at 9 a.m. Monday.
Discussion will include criminal justice costs related to adult detention, an agreement with the state Department of Ecology for restoration efforts and a three-county accountable-communities-of-health structure.
Port of Port Angeles
Port of Port Angeles commissioners will hear Port Angeles Boat Haven committee proposals and staff recommendations Monday.
They will meet at 9 a.m. in the public meeting room at the port administrative building, 338 W. First St., Port Angeles.
They also will hear an Olympic Peninsula Visitor Bureau report from incoming interim Executive Director Marsha Massey.
Massey is taking over for Executive Director Diane Schostak, who is retiring Friday.
Commissioners also will get an update on the schedule for Terminal 1 redevelopment and discuss filling a position on the Opportunity Fund board of directors.
Sequim schools
The Sequim School Board will conduct board candidate interviews and discuss a policy for transgender students when it meets Monday.
The board will meet at 5 p.m. at 503 N. Sequim Ave,
The board will interview candidates to fill the remaining term through 2015 of Sarah Bedinger, who resigned effective June 17. Board members will discuss the candidates in an executive session conducted either Monday or Aug. 4.
Bedinger represented District 1, which covers the western side of the school district. Applications were accepted through Tuesday.
A transgender policy will be considered on a first reading Monday. Final approval will be considered during the second reading.
State law requires all public school districts to pass a policy to ensure that transgender students are not discriminated against.
Clallam Transit
The Clallam Transit board will meet in Sequim to receive input from east county residents Monday.
The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. at the Seqim Transit Center, 190 W. Cedar St.
Agenda items include a memorandum of understanding with the city of Sequim for permanent transit access near Sequim’s civic center.
Clallam PUD
Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners will consider contractor pre-qualifications and hear a staff report on strategic plan key performance indicators Monday.
The meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the boardroom of the Port Angeles main office, 2431 E. U.S. Highway 101.
Clallam Transit
Clallam County Transit commissioners plan a meeting at 1 p.m. Monday.
The meeting will be at the Sequim Transit Center, 190 W. Cedar St.
