The three Clallam County commissioners will discuss fireworks at a work session that begins at 9 a.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in the county commissioners meeting room, Room 160, at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St.
The work session also will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which starts at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Agenda items include:
• A discussion about electric bicycles and the Olympic Discovery Trail.
• An agreement with Storm King Soccer Club for a five-year extension for maintenance and use of Agnew Soccer Fields.
On Tuesday, commissioners will conduct an executive session at 11:30 a.m. to discuss a lawsuit filed by Judy Lee against the county Director of Community Development Mary Ellen Winborn.
During the open session, they will request bids for an Olympic Discovery Trail segment from Gossett to Waterline road. Bids are to be received by 10 a.m. July 9.
They will consider several contracts for printing, right of way, and substance abuse disorders treatment.
Commissioners also have announced a public hearing on a possible amendment of the Wireless Communications Facilities section of the county code at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 16. The changes are intended to provide consistency with federal and state regulations, according to the agenda.
Board of Health
The Clallam County Board of Health will hear an update on infant mortality and sudden infant death syndrome when it meets at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The board will meet in the county commissioners’ meeting room, Room 160, at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St.
The board also will hear about environmental health, chronic disease, and the secure medicine return project.
Port Angeles city
The Port Angeles City Council will conduct public hearings on a 2020-25 capital facilities plan and transportation plan as well as on the 2019 amendment to the comprehensive plan when it meets in regular session at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
The council will meet at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St. A special meeting for an executive session to discuss collective bargaining or professional negotiations, will begin at 4:30 p.m. A budget goals session which will be open to the public will be at 5 p.m.
Council members will consider action on changes to the electric and wastewater utilities municipal code — changes that would not affect rates.
Under the think tank section of the agenda are Compassion Charter ideas and an advisory board discussion.
They will hear a report on drought.
Public Utility District
Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners will conduct new commissioner orientation sessions at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday.
The special meetings will be in the Lake Crescent Boardroom at the Carlsborg main office at 104 Hooker Road.
Planning commission
The Clallam County Planning Commission will discuss a review and update of comprehensive plan and development regulations at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The meeting will be in Room 160 at the Clallam County Courthouse.
The after-hours public entrance is from Fourth Street.

Sequim schools
The Sequim School Board will consider an interim superintendent after interviewing candidates on Monday.
Interviews will be done during a special meeting from 5 p.m. to 6:50 p.m. The regular meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Both meetings will be at the high school at 601 N. Sequim Ave.
The two finalists for the position are Rob Clark, superintendent of the Milton-Freewater School District in Oregon and Jane Pryne, former Port Angeles School District superintendent.
The position is on the agenda of the regular meeting. The board also will consider several policies.
Fire District 2
Clallam County Fire District No. 2 commissioners will consider a bid award for the Station 22 generator project when they meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be at 1212 E. First St., Port Angeles.
Commissioners also will consider approval of leave buyout for Chief Sam Phillips, who is retiring.
They will discuss a proposed fireworks ordinance in Clallam County.
Fire District 3
Clallam County Fire District 3 commissioners will consider an EMS levy lid resolution when they meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Commissioners will meet at 323 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim.
The also will consider the advance hire of a firefighter/EMT and a training program needs assessment.
The district covers the east side of Clallam County with a small portion in Jefferson County.
