Clallam County commissioners will discuss the appointment of a Districting Commission on Monday.

The Clallam County Charter requires that a Districting Commission be appointed every 10 years to hire a districting master, who will propose new district boundaries based on 2020 Census figures, according to an executive summary. Each commissioner and the two major political parties will appoint one member to the commission.
Other agenda items for the work session include:
• An agreement with Canyon City Solutions Software for clinical documentation and billing.
• A resolution appointing Philip Giuntoli to the Planning Commission.
• A resolution creating a new Bullman Beach Water System Fund.
• A 1 p.m. discussion on conservation futures.
• A 3:30 p.m. executive session on Midway Metals site.
Commissioners will conduct their regular business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Action items include:
• An agreement with Sound Law Center for code enforcement Hearing Examiner services.
• An agreement with NCIC Inmate Communications, Inc. for a resident telephone system.
• A resolution appointing Richard Bloomer to the Trails Advisory Committee.
• A resolution appointing Rochelle Blankenship — and reappointing Theodore Shanks — to the Sheriff’s Citizens Advisory Board.
• Notice that supplemental appropriations will be adopted Jan. 26.
• A call for Jan. 26 hearing for consideration of debatable budget emergencies.
• A resolution initiating a county road project for traffic control devices.
• A letter designating an applicant agent and letter of support for the Dungeness off-channel reservoir project.
Port of Port Angeles
Port of Port Angeles commissioners will consider the process of selecting a new executive director when it meets at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Executive Director Karen Goschen has resigned but will stay on until another director is in place, she has said.
Commissioners also will conduct a public hearing on the comprehensive scheme of harbor improvements. They will elect officers and consider advertising for bids for a fuel float replacement, approving a utility easement to the City of Port Angeles for development of the Marine Trade Center, a stepped increase in acreage for land leased to Merrill and Ring because of an expected increase in logging activity and a contract with the Economic Development Corp.
Sequim city
The Sequim City Council will consider the process for naming a replacement for Council member Dennis Smith who resigned effective immediately Friday when it meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Written public comment can be sent to smcmillon@sequimwa.gov and will be distributed to the council prior to the meeting. No more information was available Saturday about Smith’s resignation. Public Utility District

Commissioners also will consider staff titles and salary ranges, deferred compensation, and district organization association dues.
Forks city

Marine Resources
The Clallam County Marine Resources Committee will hear updates on green crab removal and sea lion entanglement projects at 5:30 p.m. Monday. Other topics for the meeting include a kelp webinar, oil spill preparedness outreach, climate change, forage fish and a virtual river festival.
Conservation District
