Clallam County commissioners will hear a status report on county road and public works projects in their work session that will begin at 9 a.m. Monday.
The work session will be in the commissioners’ board room (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
The status report will cover projects planned for 2018 and a projection of where those projects will stand at year’s end.
Other discussion items include:
• Funding terms and criteria for the Homelessness Task Force and the composition of the task force board.
• A presentation on invasive species prevention work and local jobs in west Clallam County.
• An agreement with the city of Port Angeles to memorialize the 2 percent indirect rate to be applied to taxes, revenues and/or grant monies collected for the support of enhanced 9-1-1 operations.
• An agreement with the city of Port Angeles for the joint purchase, deployment and maintenance of an emergency notification and alert system.
• An agreement with the state Department of Ecology for the Shorelands National Coastal Wetlands Conservation grant program.
• Scheduling of a Clallam Bay/Sekiu community meeting.
• A call for a hearing on the sale of surplus property.
Commissioners will conduct their weekly business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Action items include:
• A letter of support to apply for a trust land transfer through the state Department of Natural Resources Trust Land Transfer program.
• Recognition of Equipment Rental and Revolving fund Manager Tom Maley for more than 35 years of service to Clallam County.
• An agreement with The Answer for Youth (TAFY) to move $1,606 from the rent category to the utilities category.
• A resolution re-establishing and modifying revolving, petty cash and change funds for the Health and Human Services Department.
• A call for Sept. 25 hearing on the proposed vacation of a portion of Corriea Road.
• A resolution adopting supplemental appropriations.
• A public hearing for the consideration of debatable budget emergencies.
Port of Port Angeles
Port of Port Angeles commissioners will conduct an audit exit conference at 10 a.m. Tuesday at a meeting that begins at 8 a.m.
The special meeting will be at the port administration building, 338 W. First St.
Commissioners also will consider a Westport Shipyard hull storage lease, review membership of the Marina Advisory Committee and auction of a vessel.
Port Angeles city
The Port Angeles City Council will discuss long-term strategies in a work session at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The special meeting will be in the City Council chambers at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth.
Clallam Transit
The Clallam Transit board will conduct a public hearing on a proposed transit development plan at 1 p.m. Monday.
The meeting will be at the Clallam Transit System administration building at 830 W. Lauridsen Blvd.
Other action items include:
• A resolution to commend fixed-route dispatcher Steve Thanem as the employee of the quarter for the second quarter of 2018.
• A resolution to comment paratransit driver Rick Shewey as the winner of the North Olympic Peninsula Regional Bus Roadeo.
• A resolution to recognize bus cleaner Warren Musgrove for his years of service upon retirement.
• Consolidated grant applications with the state Department of Transportation.
• Travel expense policy.
• An agreement with the Quillayute Valley School District.
• A Seventh-Grade Transit Explorer program renewal.
• Procurement authorization for a 2018 state audit.
William Shore Pool District
The William Shore Memorial Pool District board will hear executive director, financial, staff and Citizen Advisory Committee reports at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be in Room 160 at the Clallam County Courthouse.
Other agenda items include approval of Citizen Advisory Committee member Mary Doherty.
Forks City Council
Forks City Council members will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
They will meet at City Hall, 500 E. Division St.
Agenda items include approval of a resolution for the Capital Facility Improvement Plan, as well as council member, staff and the mayor’s reports.
Crescent schools
The Crescent School Board will consider an alternative learning experience program policy at 7 p.m. Thursday.
The meeting will be at the Crescent School Library, 50350 state Highway 112.
Other action items include a proposed 10-cent lunch price increase and a 12:26 p.m. school school release on Dec. 21.
Quillayute Valley schools
The Quillayute Valley School Board is scheduled to meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Forks High School library at 261 S. Spartan Ave.
