The three Clallam County commissioners will discuss realignment options for Towne Road on Monday.
The work session will begin at 9 a.m. in the commissioners’ boardroom (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
Commissioners also will discuss a proposed transfer of Coast Guard property in Clallam Bay, a contract supplement with the state Department of Transportation adding funding for an interpretative gateway project on state Highway 112, an agreement with Jamestown S’Klallam tribe for Olympia oyster restoration and an agreement with the state Department of Commerce for a Growth Management Act update.
The board will hold its weekly business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Action items include:
■ A letter of intent with the Peninsula Trails Coalition for a joint grant application to the state Recreation and Conservation Office to construct an Olympic Discovery Trail trailhead.
■ A contract extension with the state Traffic Safety Commission for the Target Zero Traffic Safety Task Force project.
■ A resolution restructuring membership of the Carlsborg Community Advisory Council.
■ Notice of a July 22 hearing on the midyear budget review.
Port Angeles city
Port Angeles City Council members will discuss criminal justice costs during a work session Tuesday.
The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.
Council members will discuss city criminal justice costs as they relate to the development of the 2015 city budget.
No action will be taken at the meeting.
Port Angeles Planning Commission
The Port Angeles Planning Commission will conduct the second part of a two-meeting public hearing on a city permit application for a proposed drug treatment clinic when it meets Wednesday.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.
The hearing will be on a conditional-use permit application for a chemical dependency treatment clinic proposed for the site of a former nursing home at 825 E. Fifth St.
After the public hearing, commissioners are expected to vote on the application.
Sequim City Council
The Sequim City Council will consider entering into a $497,500 contract with Gray & Osborne of Seattle for design of the rehabilitation of West Fir Street.
The council will meet at 5 p.m. at the Sequim Transit Center, 190 W. Cedar St., for a study session before the regular meeting begins.
During the study session, the council will hear about a proposed system for allowing utility customers to pay online.
The West Fir Street project would upgrade the road surface, develop the street as an east-west corridor to take pressure off Washington Street and replace water and sewer system lines.
A grant from the federal Surface Transportation Program will provide more than 86 percent of the design costs, according to the agenda memo.
The council also will consider a memorandum of understanding with Clallam Transit regarding construction and operation of the Civic Center.
Other items on the agenda are appointments to the City Arts Advisory Council, changing the mayor pro tem’s title to that of deputy mayor and approving the county’s comprehensive solid waste management plan.
Forks City Council
The Forks City Council will consider a contract award for a new entry addition to Forks Community Hospital when it meets Monday.
The council will meet at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 500 E. Division St.
The council also will consider the Sarff-Murner-Haight annexation proposal and setting a public hearing date for the 2020 Six-Year Street Plan.
It will consider an update on a state Department of Commerce Growth Management Act grant agreement.
North Olympic Library System
North Olympic Library System Board of Trustees will consider a resolution honoring Paula Barnes before she officially retires as library system director when the trustees meet Thursday.
The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Port Angeles Library at 2210 S. Peabody St.
Barnes’ last day as director will be June 30, with incoming director Margaret Jakubcin taking over effective July 1.
Clallam PUD
Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners will consider adopting a residential meter policy Monday.
The meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the boardroom of the Port Angeles main office, 2431 E. U.S. Highway 101.
They also will consider a task order to a professional services agreement with Zenovic & Associates Inc. to provide civil engineering for a 6,000-square-foot equipment building and provisions for a 15,000-square-foot operations center at Forks Industrial Park.
Olympic Medical Center
Olympic Medical Center commissioners will attend the Washington State Hospital Association’s annual rural hospital conference in Chelan from Monday through Wednesday.
At the conclusion of the conference, the OMC board will meet in a joint special meeting with the boards of Jefferson Healthcare and Forks Community Hospital to discuss their Swedish Medical Center affiliation, potential regional services and health care reform.
No action will be taken.
Port of Port Angeles
Port of Port Angeles commissioners will consider an amendment to an agreement with Federal Way-based BergerABAM, a consulting firm, during the commissioners’ regular meeting Tuesday.
The meeting is at 9 a.m. in the public meeting room of the port administrative building, 338 W. First St., Port Angeles.
The contract amendment would add $62,000 to the port’s $275,000 design and permitting contract with BergerABAM for work the company is conducting for the Terminal 1 upgrade.
