The three Clallam County commissioners will discuss the potential closure of Camp Hayden Park Loop Road on Monday.
The work session will begin at 9 a.m. in the commissioners’ boardroom (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
Camp Hayden Park Loop, which exits and enters onto Camp Hayden Road just south of the Salt Creek Recreation Area, has become an attractive area for unauthorized dumping, off-road vehicle use and timber theft, county officials said.
Commissioners will conduct their regular business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Agenda items include:
■ An agreement with the state Administrative Office of the Courts for support of family and juvenile court operations.
■ An agreement with Chestnut Health Systems to train and certify a True Star Behavioral Health intern.
■ An agreement with the state Department of Social and Health Services for secure crisis residential center services.
■ Agreement with the state Department of Social and Health Services for services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
■ A contract amendment with the state Department of Ecology for Clallam Marine Resources Committee operations and projects and revising the work plan for the Northwest Straits Project.
Port Angeles city
The Port Angeles City Council will consider term limits when it meets Tuesday.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.
An executive session is set for 5 p.m. to discuss potential litigation and review negotiations on the performance of publicly bid contracts.
A proposed ordinance would limit the number of consecutive terms a council member can serve to two, down from three.
It will be considered on a first reading. Council members are expected to take up the term-limit law on a second reading and possible final approval Aug. 5.
The second part of a public hearing on a 2015-20 capital facilities plan is expected at about 6:30 p.m., followed by a possible vote.
The council will consider adding a $2.9 million Peabody Creek culvert rehabilitation project to the transportation improvement program. It would be funded in two phases between 2016 and 2021.
The council also will hear a staff report on criminal justice costs.
Other agenda items include:
■ Second reading and vote on a suite of 2014 budget amendments.
■ Second reading and vote on a street tree ordinance.
■ Consideration of the Clallam County Comprehensive Solid Waste Management plan.
■ A $210,400 change order to the city’s landfill stabilization contract with Magnus Pacific Corp.
Sequim City Council
The Sequim City Council will consider a one-year contract to provide $5,000 to support Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce events downtown and to allow food trucks to do business at those events when it meets Monday.
The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. at the Sequim Transit Center, 190 W. Cedar St., with a study session of the city’s capital improvement plan.
The council also will discuss a potential settlement offer from the bank, which owns a yellow house the city is attempting to condemn at 191 W. Spruce St.
City officials say it is needed for parking for a new City Hall.
Also on the agenda is Sequim Family Advocates’ request to improve the Albert Haller Playfields at the Water Reuse Demonstration Site and a discussion about overhauling the rate structure of city-provided utilities.
Forks City Council
The Forks City Council will conduct a public hearing on the 2015-20 Six-Year Street Plan when it meets Monday.
The meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 500 E. Division St.
The council also will set a public hearing date on a revised animal ordinance.
It will discuss a Masco Petroleum Inc. industrial park lease.
Clallam PUD
Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners will hear a staff update on a work order system Monday.
The work session will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the boardroom of the Port Angeles main office, 2431 E. U.S. Highway 101.
Board of Health
The Clallam County Board of Health will hear a presentation on the financial responsibility for the treatment of multi-drug-resistant and extended-drug-resistant tuberculosis Tuesday.
The meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. in Room 160 of the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
The board also will discuss a suicide prevention bill; a tribal public health mutual aid agreement; the Women, Infant and Children’s nutritional support program; and other program updates.
Planning Commission
The Clallam County Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on a rezone and comprehensive plan amendment application.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the commissioners’ meeting room (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse.
The proposal would rezone 14.9 acres of land off Benson Road from rural character conservation to rural low.
Olympic Medical Center
Olympic Medical Center commissioners will award a bid for the emergency room expansion project Wednesday.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in Linkletter Hall in the lower conference area of the hospital at 939 E. Caroline St., Port Angeles.
Other agenda items include a financial update, operations update and physician employment agreements.
