■ Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce — Twice-monthly luncheon meetings usually are held on the first and third Mondays at noon in the second-floor meeting room of the Red Lion Hotel, 221 N. Lincoln St.
However, because of the proximity of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Jan. 18, there was only one luncheon this month.
■ Forks Chamber of Commerce — Luncheon meetings are Wednesdays at noon at Blakeslee’s Bar & Grill, 1222 S. Forks Ave.
This Wednesday’s gathering will feature Gary Peterson and Glynda Peterson Schaad of the Hoh River Trust.
Lunch costs $9.75 and will include an entree (taco salad) and sides. The soup of the day will be clam chowder.
■ North Hood Canal Chamber of Commerce — Representing the “Emerald Towns” of the Hood Canal, Quilcene and Brinnon, the chamber meets monthly on the third Monday of the month.
The group will meet this Monday at 5:30 p.m. at the Brinnon Community Center, 306144 U.S. Highway 101 in Brinnon, to hear Brinnon School Superintendent Trish Beathard and Quilcene School Superintendent Wally Lis speak on the State of the Schools. The discussion is expected to include information regarding local K-12 education and tax levies.
■ Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce — Weekly luncheon meetings usually are held Mondays at noon at the Port Townsend Elks Lodge, 555 Otto St.
There will be no meeting this week due to Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
■ Port Angeles Business Association — Breakfast meetings with networking and educational programs are held Tuesdays at 7:30 a.m. at Joshua’s Restaurant, 113 DelGuzzi Drive, Port Angeles.
This coming Tuesday’s meeting is PABA’s monthly discussion program examining local issues affecting investment, employment and sound economic growth.
There is a $3 minimum charge by Joshua’s for those who do not order breakfast.
