EYE ON BUSINESS: This week’s meetings

■ Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce — Monthly “Business Nugget” meetings are held the last Wednesday of the month at 7:30 a.m. in the dining room of the Port Angeles Senior & Community Center, 328 E. Seventh St.

This Wednesday’s program will feature Jim ­Hallett of Hallett Advisers, who will discuss how small-business owners and others develop and implement meaningful financial plans.

Continental breakfast will be provided.

■ Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce — Weekly ­luncheon meetings are held Mondays at noon at the Port Townsend Elks Lodge, 555 Otto St.

Monday’s guest speaker will be Virginie Bourgue, owner of Virginie Bourgue Consulting, which specializes in viticulture and winemaking and founder of Lullaby Winery in Port Townsend. She will discuss moving her winery operations from Walla Walla to Port Townsend.

The meeting sponsor will be Port Townsend Marathon Association/Jefferson Healthcare.

■ Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce — Twice-monthly luncheon meetings are held at 11:45 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at SunLand Golf & Country Club, 109 Hilltop Drive, Sequim.

The program speaker will be Clallam County Prosecuting Attorney Mark Nichols on the Justice Reinvestment Initiative, a comprehensive study of Washington’s criminal justice system to identify ways to address growing pressures on the prison system and increase public safety. ■ Forks Chamber of Commerce — ­Luncheon meetings are Wednesdays at noon at JT’s Sweet Stuffs, 80 N. Forks Ave.

However, this Wednesday’s meeting will be held at the Family First Center, 915 S. Forks Ave.

This week’s program speaker will be chamber Executive Director Lissy Andros, who also chairs the “Forever Twilight in Forks” festival, the rebranded Stephenie Meyer Days, on Sept. 10-13. Details are at www.forevertwilightinforks.com.

The entree is chicken broccoli braid, salad bar and soup.

■ Port Angeles Business Association — Breakfast meetings are Tuesdays at 7:30 a.m. at Joshua’s Restaurant, 113 ­DelGuzzi Drive, Port Angeles.

Tuesday’s program speaker will be Marty Marchant, Platypus Marine Inc. sales and marketing director, on the company’s proposal to the Port of Port Angeles to purchase 5 acres of land adjacent to its Marine Drive complex for expansion, adding 75 jobs.

There is a $3 minimum charge by Joshua’s for those who do not order breakfast.
