PORT TOWNSEND — Fans aren’t the only ones chasing Jennifer Lopez during filming of “Enough” this week.
So is “ER” actor Noah Wylie.
But his wife of one year needn’t be concerned.
Wylie plays “Robbie, the dirty cop who is friends with Mitch, the abusive husband,” he said between takes Wednesday.
Robbie is sent to capture Lopez’ character, “Slim”, when she runs away with her daughter to a town that looks very much like Port Townsend.
“I’ve recently been cast in heavy roles which I’ve really enjoyed,” he said. “I recently finished a film in which I play the sinister sidekick to Jeff Bridges, and I also played the philandering husband to Renee Zellweger in ‘White Oleander,’ based on the book by Janet Fitch.”
Wylie was anything but sinister, however, in accommodating fans who watched and waited to get an autograph and picture with the rising star.
Rebecca Gehlen and Julie Lanza had their photo taken with Wylie, whom they said they both adore.
Gehlen said she took a break from her work at the local Department of Social and Health Services office to catch a glimpse of Wylie. Her coworker and friend, Nancy Schrader, tipped her off. Both women have watched “ER” since “the beginning,” Gehlen said.
