PORT TOWNSEND — End of Life, Washington will conduct a seminar on end-of-life planning and advance directives from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The seminar will be held in the Dirksen conference room at Jefferson Healthcare, 834 Sheridan St.
Advance directives are legal documents that outline health care decisions that a person wants in the event that they are incapacitated and unable to decide or to voice their decisions.
Advance directives can help decrease financial and emotional stress on loved ones in the event of a serious illness or injury.
Attendees will receive an advance directive document with directions on how to fill it out. Notary service also will be available.
A second seminar is planned for Saturday, July 20.
Attendees are asked to call 360-385-2200, ext. 5333 to reserve a seat.
A values worksheet should be downloaded from www.tinyurl.com/PDN-Values-Worksheet and filled out before the seminar.
