Election results remain unchanged

Election results continued to hold from initial returns following additional ballot counts this week.

In Clallam County, about 8,000 ballots remained to be counted on Wednesday. Voter turnout was at 68.2 percent, with 40,222 ballots counted out of 58,988 registered voters.

The county was scheduled to release updated figures at 5 p.m. Thursday.

In Jefferson County, there were 6,316 ballots that remained to be counted Wednesday. Voter turnout was at 57.6 percent, with 16,453 ballots counted out of 28,587 registered voters.

Statewide, voter turnout was at 58.6 percent, with 2,940,105 ballots counted out of 5,018,809 registered voters.

There were 783,266 ballots still to be counted by Wednesday afternoon.
