PORT ANGELES — Water will remain shut off until 5 a.m Friday from East Golf Course Road to Mount Pleasant Road south of U.S. Highway 101 for a water main repair.
City crews had expected to finish the repair Thursday, but poor soil conditions have extended the time needed for the excavation, city officials announced late Thursday.
Following the repair, a precautionary boil-water notice will be issued.
Once the pipe has been disinfected and flushed, city personnel will test water samples. Once satisfactory results are received, they will contact residents via door hangers to let them know that the boil-water notice is lifted.
