PORT ANGELES — The driver of a stolen Toyota Camry crashed into a utility pole at 13th and C streets in Port Angeles at 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, knocking out power in the area for six hours.
Port Angeles Police Sgt. Dave Arand said a man and woman were seen fleeing the scene, and officers were pursuing several leads regarding their whereabouts.
The car hit so hard that it snapped the pole in half, pulled it out of the ground and pulled power lines off nearby houses, according to neighbors on social media.
A Port Angeles City Light crew had to drill and set a new pole.
