FORKS — A Port Angeles woman suffered a head injury in a single-car crash on U.S. Highway 101 two miles north of Forks on Thursday.
Debra D. Grajales, 44 — who also complained of pain in her back, hip and left leg — was taken to Forks Community Hospital after the wreck at 4:59 p.m., the State Patrol said.
Hospital personnel would not provide a statement on the patient’s condition.
Her passenger, Phillip J. Brewer, 18, of Aberdeen was not hurt.
The State Patrol said that Grajales’ silver 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser veered right off the roadway near the Sol Duc River Bridge at Milepost 194 and landed in a steep ditch.
The cause of the wreck was her inattention, the State Patrol said.
The car was not damaged, the State Patrol said.
Both Grajales and Brewer were wearing seat belts, and neither drugs nor alcohol were involved in the wreck, the State Patrol said.
