PORT TOWNSEND — A driver has been cited after a four-vehicle traffic collision in the 1900 block of Sims Way that slowed traffic for nearly an hour Friday.
Edward Rogowski, 55, was cited for following too closely, said Officer Patrick Fudally with the Port Townsend Police Department. He did not know Rogowski’s place of residence.
Elisa Halcomb, 56, hometown unknown, was taken to Jefferson Healthcare hospital for minor injuries after the Friday wreck, Fudally said.
She was treated and discharged, a hospital spokesman said.
The pileup was at about 1:25 p.m., said Bill Beezley, East Jefferson Fire-Rescue spokesman.
Rogowski, driving a green Ford Taurus wagon northbound on Sims Way, hit the back of a green Geo Prism, Fudally said.
The Prism struck a blue Chevrolet Volt, which then struck an All-City Auto Body flatbed tow truck that had been waiting to make a left turn across traffic, Beezley said.
Northbound traffic was slowed back to Mill Road, he said.
Halcomb was in the front passenger seat in the Volt, he said.
All three cars were towed from the scene, Fudally said. The tow truck was driven away.
