SEQUIM — Award-winning artist Tuttie Peetz will share her passion for finding and sculpting driftwood in session four of the “Outdoor Fanatics” lecture series held in conjunction with the Dungeness River Audubon Center’s River Center Rally.
Peetz will speak at the Audubon center in Railroad Bridge Park, 2151 W. Hendrickson Road, at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Admission is by donation.
Peetz has been sculpting driftwood for 17 years and has been teaching others how to turn driftwood into art for 10 years.
Her presentation will show and tell the process of sculpting. She also will show finished and “in progress” sculptures.
The “Outdoor Fanatics” series, sponsored by Columbia Bank of Sequim, kicks off the River Center Rally, an annual activities-based fundraiser that runs through May.
The speaker series and the River Center Rally raise funds to help support educational programs of the Dungeness River Audubon Center and maintain Railroad Bridge Park.
