FORKS — West End Thunder’s weekend drag races continue Sunday.
Gates open at 9 a.m., and the eighth-mile drag races begin at 10 a.m. at the Forks Municipal Airport.
Classic cars and trucks also will be on display at a show and shine exhibit.
Admission is $10, with children under 12 admitted free.
Show and shine entries are $15. Race entries are $30.
West End Thunder is in its last year of an agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration that has allowed the drag races at the airport for the past several years.
The Forks City Council is expected to discuss the future of the airport at its next meeting on Monday, July 25.
One option would close it as an official FAA airport and possibly build a new drag strip just west of the existing runways.
