PORT ANGELES — The second annual Dog Days 10K Fun Run will be held Sunday.
The run on the Adventure Route of the Olympic Discovery Trail will raise funds for the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society.
The cost is $35 per person.
Participation is limited to 125 registrants.
Participants can register online, at the event Sunday or at Harbinger Winery, 358 W. U.S. Highway, during a “Yappy Hour” from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today (Saturday).
The Humane Society will have animals available for adoption, and a portion of the evening’s sales will go to the Humane Society.
On Sunday, Fun Run participants will meet at 9:30 a.m., and the run/walk will begin at 10 a.m.
The run will be on the Olympic Adventure Trail, starting and ending in the large parking lot located 1 mile up Dan Kelly Road on the left.
The untimed run will be a 10K loop that includes single-track forested trail as well as a portion of forested gravel road.
Top individual fundraisers will win prizes, and volunteers will be at registration/start line to take additional donations.
