PORT ANGELES — Detectives are investigating a drive-by shooting Saturday night that injured no one but damaged a fence, a utility pole, two vehicles and a house in the 1300 block of West 16th Street.
Between nine and 12 rounds were fired, officers said Sunday as they mapped the scene that stretched from 1303 to 1323 W. 16th., a neighborhood of well-maintained frame homes.
The spot is across the street from Lincoln Park and the city Parks Maintenance Division garage, and close to the Clallam County Fairgrounds and Stevens Middle School.

The shooting was reported at 11:06 p.m. by Frank Stewart, 1315 W. 16th St., who said five shots had been fired at his vehicle, a Dodge Ramcharger sport utility vehicle.
Police confirmed “multiple rounds” had struck it.
Bullets also struck the side of a house at 1303 W. 16th, where officers recovered what they called a “lead projectile,” a Ford F-150 pickup truck at 1319 W. 16th, wiring on a nearby utility pole, and a wood fence at 1323 W. 16th.
The pattern indicated that the shooter had been eastbound, officers said.
“At this point, we’re just investigating it,” said police Cpl. Kevin Miller, who said officers would serve search warrants on all the affected properties and vehicles to gather evidence.
All of the residents were cooperating with the investigation, Miller added.
