PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County Fair is open today for one last day before it closes its gates until next summer.
“We’ve had a good crowd with good numbers,” said Catherine Conn, fair assistant, on Saturday.
“The weather has definitely been in our favor.”
Conn said she couldn’t estimate the number of attendees the fair has had.
Though it all ends tonight, fairgoers can still watch drivers destroy each other’s cars in the demolition derby from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Also, wranglers from throughout the Northwest will compete against each other in the rodeo from noon to 2:30 p.m.
Both events take place in the grandstand.
And of course, the carnival, exhibits and other entertainment will fill the grounds.
The fair, at the Clallam County Fairgrounds at 1608 W. 16th St., will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Ticket prices are $4.50 for children, 6 years old to 12 years old, and $7.50 for adults.
