Deadline to register for legal aid clinic Friday

PORT ANGELES — The Clallam-Jefferson County Pro Bono Lawyers will conduct a free legal aid clinic Saturday, Oct. 23.

The free legal consultations will be provided by telephone or by Zoom.

The organization will partner with the Clallam County Public Defender’s Office this month to provide assistance to those affected by the recent Blake Decision.

Lawyers experienced in criminal law will help people with a criminal history of drug possession to get their records expunged as well as to assist with applications for relief from legal financial obligations for Clallam County criminal convictions of all types.

Lawyers also will be available for help with family, landlord/tenant, bankruptcy, employment issues and other civil matters.

Additional directions will be provided after registration.
