TODAY IS THE deadline to enter photos for the Peninsula Daily News Holiday Lights Contest.
PDN is holding an online photo contest to find the best holiday lights display.
We’re looking for homes illuminated with lights, yards lined with decorations, displays of Santa and his reindeer — whatever you’ve done to be festive this year.
Submit a photo of your home decked out in lights.
You can enter until noon today.
The contest is free to enter and open to residents of Clallam and Jefferson counties.
To enter, go to http://pdn.upickem.net/engine/Welcome.aspx?contestid=44434 .
Click on the “Submission” tab and follow the instructions for registering and submitting your photo.
Please give the address of where the display is located so people can also see it in person.
All entries must be submitted on the web — sorry, no entries by mail, or in person. You must submit the entry yourself. (No emailing photos and asking us to post them.)
To view entries, click the “View Entries” tab on the contest site.
Winners will be chosen by the public in online voting from noon today (Dec. 15) through Sunday, Dec. 25.
Voting is also free. You must be registered on the contest site to vote.
You can vote up to five times per day during the voting period.
In addition to the bragging rights that come with getting voted “best,” there are also prizes to be won!
The six entries that receive the most online votes will win prizes courtesy of the contest’s sponsors — Port Book and News, Lower Elwha Klallam tribe, Elwha River Casino, Olympic Iyengar Yoga, Pacific Rim Hobby and Nails by Sara.
