County to consider ARPA funding for Habitat for Humanity

The three Jefferson County commissioners will consider a request for $500,000 in American Rescue Plan Act grant funding to Habitat for Humanity of East Jefferson County for the Mission Street project when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

They will hear an update on the state Department of Natural Resources fourth quarter county income report from Mona Griswold and Drew Rosanbalm.

The commissioners will hear an update on COVID-19 from Dr. Allison Berry, the region’s public health officer, at 9:45 a.m.; continue deliberation on the precinct boundary recommendations from the redistricting commission; and consider a request for $500,000 in American Rescue Plan Act grant funding to Habitat for Humanity of East Jefferson County for the Mission Street project.

Items on the consent agenda include an agreement for $5.600 with Coastal Sensing and Survey for side-scan surveys in Discovery Bay to locate lost crab pots; an agreement for $25,000 with the North Olympic Development Council; an agreement with OWL 360 for $47,000 for the Pfeiffer House project; an agreement with the Salmon Recovery Funding Board for $192,500 in funding for Dosewallips, Wolcott Flats and Rock Brook Salmon Recovery Floodplain Resiliency and Action Planning; and an agreement with the Department of Transportation for $5,567,672 to fund the Little Quilcene River Bridge replacement

Port of PT

Port of Port Townsend commissioners will hear a report on the 2022 legislative session from Insight Strategic Partners during a hybrid meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
