Governmental entities plan public meetings next week on the North Olympic Peninsula.
Clallam County
Clallam County commissioners will consider a request to waive the bid requirement for the purchase of a vehicle for the syringe services program in their weekly work session Monday and their weekly business meeting Tuesday.
The commissioners’ work session, at 9 a.m. Monday, will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which starts at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
The commissioners also will hear the 2022 second quarter income report during a joint meeting with the Department of Natural Resources at 1 p.m. Monday.
The hybrid meetings are in the county commissioners meeting room in the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.

Agenda items include:
• Agreements to disburse a total of $300,000 in rapid re-housing funds to six local nonprofits.
• An interlocal agreement with the Clallam Conservation District for up to $250,000 funding for the Dungeness River off-channel reservoir project.
• A memorandum of understanding with Clallam County Public Utility District 1 regarding Carlsborg water supply.
• An update from Bill Dowling of the Olympic Workforce Development Council.
• An agreement with the Department of Natural Resources granting Clallam County an easement for the Olympic Discovery Trail between Forks and La Push.
• Renewal of the contract with the state’s Administrative Office of the Courts for the child advocate volunteer Guardian Ad Litem program.
• A call for a public hearing at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, on an ordinance changing membership of the county board of health to comply with recent changes to RCW 70.05.030.
• A resolution to accept the transfer of Clallam Bay State Park to Clallam County from the Parks and Recreation Commission.

• An agreement with the state Administrative Office of the Courts for $41,530 in funding for the volunteer Guardian Ad Litem program.
• Disbursement of $440,000 in 1590 grant funds to Olympic Community Action Programs.
• A request for proposals for strategic planning services.

Association of counties
The Washington State Association of Counties will hear a weekly update on COVID-19 when they meet at noon Monday.
Both Clallam and Jefferson counties will participate.
