Counties consider procurement assistance, traffic plan

Meetings across North Olympic Peninsula

The boards of local government agencies will meet next week on the North Olympic Peninsula.

Jefferson County

The three Jefferson County commissioners will hear a presentation regarding the North Olympic Peninsula Procurement Technical Assistance Center when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

The commissioners will meet in executive session for a workshop on the American Rescue Plan Act and will conduct a workshop on identification of parcels for inclusion in the Department of Natural Resources carbon project.

Items on the consent agenda include a notice of a public hearing at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, regarding the proposed 2023 Ad Valorem tax levies; a notice of a public hearing at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, regarding the proposed six-year transportation plan; an amended agreement with the Recreation Conservation Office for an additional $217,945 for the Dosewallips powerline acquisition project bringing the project total to $589,119; an agreement with Lori Fleming for $126,000 for behavioral health consortium coordination management; and an agreement with KPTZ radio for $65,000 for the Morgan Hill emergency transmitter project.

Clallam County

The three Clallam County commissioners will conduct a public hearing on the proposed six-year traffic improvement plan during their weekly business meeting Tuesday.

The commissioners’ work session, at 9 a.m. Monday, will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which starts at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The Jefferson County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board will lead a tour of four Jefferson County Parks during a special meeting at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

The in-person only meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in Chimacum Park, 9635 Rhody Drive, Chimacum.

It will meet next at 9:45 a.m. on Camp Beausite NW, 510 Beausite Lake Road., Chimacum.

It will continue at 11 a.m. at H.J. Carroll Park, 9884 state Highway 19, Chimacum.

The meeting will conclude at noon in the Upper Oak Bay Campground, 290 Cleveland St., Port Hadlock.
