SEQUIM — Art in the Park, a convergence of art displays, demonstrations and make-and-take crafts at the Dungeness River Audubon Center, is slated for next Wednesday, Aug. 1, through next Sunday, Aug. 5.
A story in today’s Peninsula Spotlight, the Peninsula Daily News’ weekly arts and entertainment guide, erroneously says that the festival is happening this weekend.
Art in the Park brings together dozens of local artists at the River Center in Railroad Bridge Park, 2151 W. Hendrickson Road, just west of Sequim.
The art display — with photography, driftwood sculpture, basketry and other types of artwork — opens Wednesday at 10 a.m. and continues through Sunday, Aug. 5.
Next Friday, the Dungeness River Audubon Center will stay open until 8 p.m. to take part in Sequim’s First Friday Art Walk.
On Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 4 and 5, Art in the Park will offer many local artists’ demonstrations and family activities, including nature crafts for children to make at the River Center and take home.
