PORT ANGELES — People can learn more about becoming part of a nationwide movement promoting compassionate actions at a booth at the Port Angeles Farmers Market on Wednesday.
Organizers of the “Compassion Games” in Port Angeles will host a booth from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the market to kick off 11 days of programs about how to make a difference with compassionate acts, said Mindy Aisling, an organizer.
The market is at The Gateway transit center, corner of Lincoln and Front streets.
Aisling and co-coordinator Kristin Halberg said people can participate in the Compassion Games by performing random acts of kindness and attending the various programs organized as part of the games.
“Really what I want to communicate to people is that they can make a difference and that it really doesn’t take any time or money,” Aisling said.
Throughout the 11 days, Halberg can be phoned at 425-343-2374 to learn more about how to bring compassion to everyday life and bring one’s heart “into the vibration of compassion,” Aisling said.
The Compassion Games take place in cities and towns across the country, including Seattle, Aisling said.

Aisling and Halberg also organized a love letters campaign in February in which letters were left in downtown locations.
