PORT ANGELES — The Olympic Kiwanis Club is accepting donations for its 26th Community Tuna Fish Drive through April 13.
The annual drive’s goal is to collect the equivalent of 26,000 cans of tuna fish for the Port Angeles Food Bank.
Collection barrels are located at Safeway East, the Port Angeles Senior & Community Center, the Mount Pleasant IGS, Saar’s Super Saver Foods and the food bank at 402 S. Valley St.
Tuna also will be accepted for any other food bank on the North Olympic Peninsula. Designations should be made at the time of donation.
Donors can text “Tuna Drive” to 44321 to make a monetary donation.
Monetary donations will be used to purchase canned tuna or other high-protein foods such as low-fat milk, eggs, other types of fish, lean meat and peanut butter.
