PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County commissioners are seeking county residents to serve on the “For” and “Against” committees for a proposed charter amendment regarding coroner duties.
The committees will draft the arguments, either for or against, regarding the measure for the voters’ guide.

Applicants should include their full name, voter registration address and phone number.
The proposed amendment would remove the statement, “The Prosecuting Attorney will serve as ex-officio coroner without extra compensation” from Section 4.20.
“For” and “Against” statements will be due to the Clallam County Auditor no later than 4:30 p.m. Aug. 12.
