Volunteers are still needed to pick up litter on some West End beaches during Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday.
Those who want to participate can sign up for a particular beach on the Washington Coast Savers Web site at www.CoastSavers.org.
Sooes Beach, Point of the Arches, Duk Point, Sand Point and Kalaloch are among those with room for more volunteers.
Already staffed are such beaches as Rialto, Hobuck, First Beach, Second Beach and Ruby Beach.
Last year’s Coastal Cleanup Day saw 1,230 volunteers taking 60,000 pounds of household plastics, lost fishing gear and other marine debris off Washington beaches.
