SEATTLE — Coast Guard officials are seeking public comment about navigation issues on Admiralty Inlet.
The Coast Guard is conducting a waterways analysis and management system review of the area and is asking mariners to complete a survey on the general use of the waterways and any issues with the visibility, placement or location of aids to navigation in that area.
The deadline for making comments is July 31.
The area covered by the survey includes Admiralty Bay, Port Townsend, Kilisut Harbor, Oak Harbor, Mutiny Bay, Useless Bay, Port Ludlow and Skunk Bay.
The study focuses on the area’s aids-to-navigation system, waterborne commerce, marine casualty information, port and harbor resources, emergency response plans, routine and emergency communication capabilities, and future development projects.

Surveys can be mailed to Commander (dpw), Attn: Lt. Jeff Hiatt, 13th Coast Guard District, 915 Second Ave., Seattle, WA 98174.
They can be faxed to 206-220-7265.
