PORT ANGELES — The closing date of the sale of land for a sprint boat racing course has been delayed to allow a pubic hearing.
The closing date for the 113-acre parcel just north of the William G. Fairchild International Airport has been reset from Sunday to Aug. 29, said Bob McChesney, executive director of the Port of Port Angeles, which owns the land.
“None of the details of the sale have changed, but the closing date has been moved back so we can have a public hearing,” he said Thursday.
The hearing has been tentatively scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Aug. 25, McChesney said.
It would be during a regular Port of Port Angeles commissioners’ meeting at the port’s offices at 338 W. First St.
An agenda will be released closer to the time of the meeting, he said.
