Twelve people were haunted by outstanding misdemeanor warrants Thursday and another five turned themselves in as police rounded up those wanted by District Court 1 across Clallam County in Warrant Fest 2002.
Working from a list of 32 warrants, plus knowledge of 1,100 more, officers from Port Angeles and Sequim police, Clallam County Sheriff’s Department and Washington State Patrol knocked on doors seeking people with outstanding cases in Clallam County District Court 1.
Those that were found were taken directly to court in Port Angeles, where Judge John Doherty either issued them a new court date, accepted guilty pleas or reassigned them bail.
The roundup is the first in the county.
