Power rates will increase 22.4 percent beginning Oct. 1 for the average residential and farm ratepayer served by the Clallam County Public Utility District.
That is on top of a 14 percent rate increase implemented in February.

The recent round of power price increases is because of a 46 percent hike in the cost of wholesale energy from the federal Bonneville Power Administration.
