Clallam Transit will hold its next series of community meetings on proposed route changes today in Sequim.
The first meetings were held in Forks on Tuesday.
A Wednesday news brief erroneously said the Forks meetings would be Wednesday.
Today’s meetings begin at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Sequim Transit Center, 190 W. Cedar St,
The next round of community meetings is next Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Clallam Transit System office building in Port Angeles at 830 W. Lauridsen Blvd.
Clallam Transit has proposed cutting its service by 5.8 percent this year to save $187,861 in annual costs.
The routes being considered are the most underused runs in the system, with many averaging two to three riders per trip.
The proposed service reductions are detailed on Clallam Transit’s website, www.clallamtransit.com.
The Clallam Transit board will hold a public hearing on the proposals Monday, Feb. 28, at 1 p.m. at the Port Angeles headquarters.
