PORT ANGELES — Two of the three finalists for Clallam County sheriff told county commissioners Monday they would cut administrators to place more deputies on patrol.
Using a list of 10 questions, the three commissioners held public interviews of Joe Martin, Soeren Poulsen and Rich Sill, who were recommended by a screening panel last week.
The men are vying for job that will be open Oct. 1 when Sheriff Joe Hawe leaves for a new job in Olympia.
The new sheriff may be appointed by the commissioners by Friday.
