PORT ANGELES — Clallam County is seeking volunteers to fill 66 vacancies on 23 advisory boards and committees.
The deadline to apply is the close of business Friday, June 1. To apply, call the commissioners’ office at 360-417-2233; visit the office at the Clallam County Courthouse, Suite 4, 223 E. Fourth St.; or download an application from the county website, www.clallam.net.

Vacancies exist on the following boards and committees, with specific categories listed where applicable:
• Agricultural Commission (six vacancies) — Openings for farmers from commissioner districts I, II, and III, an at-large farmer and two non-farmer at-large.
• Animal Issues Advisory Committee (seven vacancies) — Openings for representatives of each district, tribal government, veterinarian, equine and Friends of Forks Animals.
• Board of Health (one vacancy) — City Council member representative.
• Boundary Review Board (four vacancies) — Openings for governor appointees, a cities appointee and special district appointee.
• Building Code Board of Appeals (two vacancies) — General contractor and alternate.
• Carlsborg Community Advisory Council (four vacancies) — Openings for a resident of a manufactured or mobile home, a business or property owner within the Carlsborg Village Center and two at-large members within the UGA boundary.
• Chemical Dependency/Mental Health Program Fund Advisory Board (two vacancies) — openings for at-large and private provider of chemical dependency services not contracting for funding.
• Civil Service Commission (one vacancy).
• Clallam Bay/Sekiu Community Action Team (one vacancy).
• Crescent Community Advisory Council (four vacancies) — Openings for school district alternate, an area business owner or individual who owns a commercially zoned property, district student body and student body alternate.
• Developmental Disabilities Advisory Committee (four vacancies).
• Fair Advisory Board (two vacancies) — An opening for home arts and/or hobbies and crafts and Sequim or Dungeness community representatives.
• Heritage Advisory Board (two vacancies) — District 1.
• Homelessness Task Force (three vacancies) — Openings for a representative of tribal government, WorkSource and an advocate for youth issues.
• Marine Resources Committee (one vacancy) — Opening for a representative of marine recreation and tourism.
• North Olympic Library System (one vacancy).
• North Pacific Coast Marine Resources (one vacancy) — Opening for a Clallam County citizen.
• Olympic Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council (one vacancy).
• Permit Advisory Board (five vacancies) — Openings for building designer, building trades, environmental consultant, propane/wood stove contractor, and manufactured homes/mobile homes.
• Port Crescent Pioneer Cemetery (two vacancies).
• Sheriff’s Citizen Advisory Committee (seven vacancies) — Openings for representatives of Clallam Bay/Sekiu, Forks area, Quileute, Makah and Lower Elwha Klallam tribes, law and justice and an at-large member.
• Solid Waste Advisory Committee (four vacancies) — Openings for solid waster industry, tribal government, city of Forks and business community alternates.
• Trails Advisory Committee (one vacancy) — An opening for a representative of a large private forest company.
