School Board members in Forks, Clallam Bay, Joyce and Sequim are expected to decide this week if they want to sign onto the proposed North Olympic Peninsula Skils Center plan.
Port Angeles School District officials have already approved of the center and hope other districts will sign a five-year interlocal agreement to finance and operate the skills center.
The Port Angeles School Board is slated to sign a lease this week with the Port of Port Angeles for a temporary campus at 1908 O St., Port Angeles.
At least two other districts must sign onto the project for it to succeed, Port Angeles School District Superintendent Gary Cohn said.
School boards considering the skills center proposal during meetings this week include:
* Sequim — Monday, 7 p.m., Sequim High School performing arts building, Room 4, 601 N. Sequim Ave.
* Quillayute Valley — Tuesday, 6 p.m., Quillayute Valley School District Administration Board Room, 500 E. Division St., Forks.
* Cape Flattery — Wednesday, 6 p.m., Neah Bay School campus, Neah Bay.
* Crescent — Thursday, 7:30 p.m., Crescent School, 50350 state Highway 112, Joyce.
