PORT ANGELES — The general manager of a city utility in Iowa has been hired as the general manager of Clallam County Public Utility District.
Douglas Nass of Denison, Iowa, will begin his new job on Nov. 13.
He will oversee the district’s 130 employees.
The district operates electric, water, sewer and broadband utilities everywhere throughout Clallam County except within the city of Port Angeles.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to be the general manager and working with all of the PUD employees,” Nass said.
“My family and I look forward to being part of the community, enjoying the Pacific Northwest and living on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula,” he said.
Nass was selected following an executive session at Monday’s regular board meeting.
