The second half of the 2011 property taxes are due Monday and must be either paid in person or postmarked by that date.
Property owners in Washington state have the option to pay the complete property tax all at once on or before April 30 or pay half the amount and the remainder on or before Oct. 31.
Clallam County payments can be sent to or made in person in the Treasurer’s Office at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Suite 3, Port Angeles, WA 98362, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
Credit/debit card payments at the Treasurer’s Office are made available through Vital Links, which charges 3 percent of the amount charged on credit cards.
Flat fee with debit card
A $3.95 flat fee is charged for debit card payments.
Drop-off locations for Clallam County are the County Courthouse; Forks District Court, 502 E. Division St.; and the Department of Licensing in Sequim, 1001 E. Washington St.
Canceled checks are proof of payment.
Written receipt
Taxpayers who need a written receipt need to make their payments in person at the respective courthouse or include a self-addressed stamped envelope.
